If you have more than ten decks, you already know this: quick novelty isn’t enough any more.
What starts to matter is:
- coherence
- maturity
- depth
- how something feels after the first impression fades
- its contribution to our rituals
- its contribution to our spiritual practice
What struck me about Earth Moon Magick was that they promised something pretty big (a powerful deck that lasts) and they actually fulfill their promise.
They have confidence in their products and they have reason to.
I’ve been following them for a while and I know that each of their decks has some different type of mission behind it…
For example, there’s one called Priestess Oracle (my current favourite).
The deck consistently brings me back to what I already know instead of telling me what to do.
It’s become something I reach for when I need clarity without loud noise or pushy guidance.
Another favourite of mine is the Tarot of Sacred Kingdoms (First Edition), which feels like a fully built world rather than a standalone deck.
Each card carries a sense of place and narrative, and the guidebook reads less like instruction and more like an invitation to explore archetypes in a way that’s intuitive, reflective, and surprisingly practical. It’s one of those decks that deepens the more time you spend with it.
